Halo Infinite rejuvenates its gameplay by introducing a new mode inspired by classic team combat. An update has been rolled out that is sure to excite many dedicated players, as it revives familiar elements from previous installments.
Developers have taken vintage ideas from an earlier title and reinterpreted them into a dynamic team challenge. In this mode, players join forces with up to three allies in a continuous test of survival against mounting waves of adversaries.
The challenge is structured in several stages, with every round escalating in intensity. Each phase requires participants to overcome dominant opponents in designated arenas, effectively stopping the continuous influx of enemies and allowing progression to the next segment.
The encounters are spread out over five interconnected arenas, each separated by a rest area where players can resupply on equipment and ammunition as well as improve their abilities. A noteworthy twist has been added to the gameplay:
- If you manage to obtain a certain pivotal item from a formidable foe, returning it to the resupply area will activate special modifiers that boost the overall score for everyone during the match.
