The anticipation for the inaugural tournament of the 2025 Overwatch Champions Series is building as the Stage 1 regular season concludes. The competitive scene has finalized its roster of teams, particularly in the EMEA and NA regions, after several weeks of intense matches. We have now identified the six teams that will participate in each regional playoff event and gained insight into the matchup arrangements.

The playoffs will unfold in March, with the qualified EMEA teams including Virtus.pro, Team Peps, Gen.G, Al Qadsiah, Twisted Minds, and The Ultimates. Unfortunately, Vision Esports and Sakura Esports did not achieve a qualification spot due to underwhelming performances.

In the upper bracket, Virtus.pro is set to compete against either Gen.G or Al Qadsiah, depending on their selection, which will be revealed later today. Team Peps will then square off against the team that Virtus.pro does not choose. Meanwhile, the lower bracket will see Twisted Minds and The Ultimates waiting for the teams that lose their initial matches.

Turning to North America, Spacestation, NTMR, Timeless, Team Liquid, Avidity, and RAD Esports have secured playoff spots, while Shikigami and Amplify did not make the cut. Spacestation will select either Timeless or Team Liquid for their matchup, while the team not chosen will compete against NTMR in a separate upper bracket fixture. Avidity and RAD Esports are positioned to face off against the first-round losers in the lower bracket.
